    Update

    On Monday 22nd February the Government announced a pathway for easing national restrictions.

    From 12th April 2021

    • We can accept holiday bookings for self-catering lodges, guests must be from one household or support bubble.
    • Holiday home and boat owners are allowed to visit.
    • The chandlery shop will fully reopen.

    From 17th May 

    • We can accept guests from two households for holiday lodge bookings.
    • We can accept hotel bookings, guests can be from two households.
    • The Boathouse Cafe will reopen, opening hours will be announced closer to the time.

    From 21st June

    The government hopes we can operate without any restrictions, please feel free to book holiday accommodation confidently.     These dates are subject to four national tests set out by the government, we will review and update dates as and when the government instructs us to.

    Face Coverings

    • The Government requires everyone to wear a face covering in a wider range of settings including shops, supermarkets, shopping centres, banks, beauty salons, vets and visitor attractions. You are also required to wear a face covering in hospitality premises (hotels, bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes), except when seated at a table to eat or drink. Some exceptions do apply.     • We therefore ask that you wear a face covering when visiting the public areas of the hotel, The Boathouse, our marina office, chandlery, brokerage and facilities buildings.

    All Customers

    When Visiting Us 

    • Please adhere to social distancing guidelines.
    • Please pay by card or contactless.
    • It is a legal requirement to wear a face covering in public areas of hospitality and retail premises. Please ensure you are wearing a face covering before entering the hotel, The Boathouse, our marina office, chandlery, brokerage and facilities buildings, and adhere to the guidance at all times.
    • Please observe all signage indicating entry and exit points and maximum occupancy numbers for facility buildings. When using jetties, please maintain social distancing restrictions.
    • Please sanitise your hands on entry to our buildings, hand sanitiser stations are available at entry and exit points.
    • We have created separate entry and exit points where possible.
    • We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, paying extra attention to high-touch areas, using fogging machines and sanitiser.
    • Signage and information boards will be in place to remind customers and our team of social distancing and our new guidelines.
    • Protective screens have been installed at all workplace counters to protect our team and customers.
    • We are ventilating public areas and our facilities as much as possible to allow increased air circulation.
    • Please adhere to social distancing at all times. If you have children with you, please ensure they are supervised and adhering to social distancing at all times.
    • Where possible, please contact reception on 01279 792777 to reduce physical contact
    • Please do not approach grounds staff whilst they are carrying out maintenance.
    • We are required to take your contact details and hold them for 21 days for the Government Test and Trace system.

    Test and Trace

    • The government have updated their test and trace legal requirements.
    • All businesses in leisure, tourism, hospitality and close contact services must now ask every customer over the age of 16 to scan the NHS QR code using their NHS COVID-19 app, or provide their name and contact details, not just a lead member of the group.
    • Hospitality venues should verify that an individual has checked in using the QR code by reviewing the individual’s phone screen. This is not necessary if they have already provided their contact details.
    • If a customer does not use the NHS COVID-19 app, they must provide their name and contact details in an alternate format.
    • We must keep these records for 21 days and provide data to NHS Test and Trace if requested.
    • Hospitality venues must also take reasonable steps to refuse entry to anyone who refuses to participate.

    Hotel

    • All guests must book in advance, you can book online, by phone on 01279 792777 or email at reception@roydonmarinavillage.co.uk
    • We are deep cleaning after every stay using a fogging machine and sanitiser to ensure our bedrooms are disinfected between guests.
    • All laundry will be washed at a minimum 60 degrees for optimal disinfection.
    • During your stay, your room will be cleaned on request only. We will not carry out daily refresh cleans unless specifically requested.
    • Your room won't look as beautiful as it normally would as we have removed cushions and bed runners.

    The Boathouse Café

    • From 17th May, we should be able to open without curfews and without requiring a substantial meal with alcohol. We will confirm opening hours closer to the time. These restrictions still apply:
    • The maximum table size allowed is 6 guests (from two households).
    • Furniture has been rearranged to meet social distancing guidelines, please do not move furniture.
    • To maintain social distancing, we will not be offering drinks at the bar, instead we will be providing full table service.
    • Your orders will be taken at your table once you are seated, please do not wait at the bar. Our waiting team will serve your food and drinks to your table.
    • Single use menus will be provided.
    • Cutlery and glasses will only be brought to your table once you are seated.
    • Salt and pepper shakers and condiment bottles have been removed, and replaced with single use sachets.
    • We are operating in difficult times therefore we respectfully ask that you are patient with our team when visiting us as we adapt to new ways of working.

    Marina Customers

    On The Jetties

    • Maintain a minimum 2 metre spacing on walkways and jetties, look ahead and behind to observe and acknowledge others, passing only if necessary and using finger jetties to move a safe distance away.
    • Please avoid touching any unnecessary surfaces such as jetty posts or bollards.
    • Please wear suitable, clean gloves when using jetty bollards or water taps.

    On Your Boat

    • Be conscious to maintain social distancing whilst on your boat or manoeuvring.
    • Do not sit or stay on your boat unnecessarily or in close proximity to others.

    Toilet, Shower and Laundry Block

    • Please use on-board facilities on your boat if available.
    • Please adhere to the maximum occupancy signs displayed on entrance doors. This is 2 people in the Ladies and 2 people in the Gents at any time. Please make yourself aware of how many people are already using the facility before entering.
    • The facilities will be regularly closed for cleaning. Please DO NOT ENTER during this time.
    • Notices will be in place to indicate planned cleaning times and when cleaning is being carried out.
    • Please queue outside, being aware of social distancing.
    • Showers will be closed between the hours of 8pm and 9am to allow for deep cleaning and sanitising.
