Description

Stravaiging is a characterful 50ft 2in cruiser stern narrowboat, built in 2007 by Price Fallows & Co. and professionally fitted out by Grosvenor Marsh Narrowboats. Offering comfortable accommodation for up to four, she combines a practical layout with plenty of homely touches, making her an excellent choice for leisure cruising, extended stays or life afloat.

The accommodation begins at the cruiser stern, with steps providing direct access to the fixed double bedroom. The laterally positioned double bed features useful storage beneath, overhead cupboards and reading lights, while recessed ceiling lighting creates a bright and welcoming space. Moving forward, the enclosed bathroom features a quadrant shower enclosure, thermostatic shower, wash basin with storage and a Thetford cassette toilet, alongside built-in shelving and a wall-mounted mirror.

The well-equipped U-shaped galley provides everything needed for life on board, with wooden-fronted units offering generous cupboard storage, a stainless-steel sink with mixer tap and drainer, and a Thetford Caprice Mk III gas cooker with four-burner hob, separate oven and grill. A fridge, tiled splashback and additional shelving complete the space.

Further forward, the dinette provides comfortable seating for four to five people and can be converted into an additional double berth when required. The adjoining saloon offers a comfortable built-in upholstered sofa with storage beneath, built-in shelving and cupboards, and a solid-fuel stove set on a tiled hearth, creating a cosy space to relax after a day on the water.

Stravaiging is powered by a Beta Marine 43hp diesel engine paired with a PRM 150 D3 gearbox. On board systems include 12v and 240v electrics, a pure-sine wave inverter and twin-coil calorifier. Externally, the generous cruiser stern provides an ideal area for relaxing and enjoying the waterways, while the covered bow offers additional seating or useful storage space.

The hull was blacked with bitumen in December 2025, and the Boat Safety Scheme certificate is valid until August 2027. With her versatile four-berth accommodation, practical facilities and attractive cruiser stern layout, Stravaiging offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy life on the inland waterways.
